The 2026 UN Water Conference, Co-Hosted by the UAE and Senegal, will be the global moment of implementation and action on Sustainable Development Goal 6: ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

Our Conference is only the third global gathering of its kind since 1977, the first led by two nations from the Global South, and the first UN Conference dedicated to SDG6.
The UAE and Senegal aspire to convene a Conference where success is measured not only by dialogue, but by practical outcomes. These include knowledge sharing, partnerships, investment, political commitments, and technical solutions that improve lives, restore ecosystems, and expand access to water and sanitation.
We invite the world to join us: innovators and thinkers, catalytic pioneers, leaders from policy and the private sector, and voices from every generation. Together we will place water centre stage, build momentum, and turn inclusive dialogue and co-creation into transformative progress.

About the Conference
Who
The UAE and Senegal are proud Co-Hosts of the 2026 UN Water Conference, the first UN Water Conference led by two nations from the Global South. Together we bring together our experiences and perspectives on water, working: scarcity, stewardship, and innovation from the UAE; access, sanitation, and clean water from Senegal.
We invite the world to join us: innovators and thinkers, catalytic pioneers, leaders from policy and the private sector, and voices from every generation.
What
The 2026 UN Water Conference will be the first event dedicated to accelerating the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 6. The Conference will bring together voices from all over the world, across sectors, geographies, and ages, to collaborate and co-create transformative solutions across water challenges.
The Conference will feature two zones. The Oasis is hosted by the UAE and will redefine the future of water, bringing together innovators, investment and thought leaders, and policymakers and experts across sectors, as well as the brightest young minds, for three days of immersive exhibitions and dynamic programming.
Marquee programming will include the inaugural Abu Dhabi Water and Power Week, hosted by the Department of Energy, focused on discussions and collaborations on the solutions, technologies, and policies that will advance water use and management.
The Blue Zone is led by the UN and features the official 2026 UN Water Conference agenda including plenaries and side events in support of the six Interactive Dialogues.
